Re: FOR SALE - Diesel conversion project for TE-TG Gemini

I must remember that - I'm still blaming my big crash. Then again, I haven't bothered retrieving my old info - I thought about who keps asking for it? Not me! I find I have the ability for greenfields solutions anyhow. Maybe I've joined the <unamed> EMS & pre-Gemini forum attitude - " it'd be a sham...

Re: Fan

I'm tempted to suggest consideration of an electric fan though IMO the $100+ kits are too expensive with their way too ugly adjustable mechanical sensors, though these days they pay for themselves reasonably quickly (ie, often a 5% to15% fuel economy improvement else corresponding increase in power)...

Diesel TE at PAP-K (Melbourne)

For those interested in diesel crossmembers for the GW twincam motors into Geminis, and as posted on Poida's GW twincam site: This may be a bit late, but on 22Dec2012 at Pick A Part - Kilsyth (Melbourne) there was a TE diesel fairly complete but missing the manual gearbox. It still had its front cro...

Re: Value of a Gemini

I thought we were talking about the buy-sell value of a Gemini, not the insurance or market value...

Re: Value of a Gemini

I'm on a horse. Actually I might be better off without my agreed value. I only put it (Wasp) at $2k whilst I also had the Florian @ $3k a baker's dozen years ago. About 2 years ago someone said they'd give me $4k for the Wasp as a wreck so I'd get a total of $6k if I had fun an allowed someone to ri...

Re: Value of a Gemini

ghemini hits a few nails on the head. I think we all know those problems and difficulties. Even if a seller posts pics and a good description, it's still difficult for us (or I should say yous because I have no feeling for Gemini prices) to estimate its price . That's not only because the reality ma...

Re: WTB - Distributor for 2L DOHC Piazza engine (Auckland, N

A badly late update, but if the OP's G200W is from a Piazza (as opposed to the older 117 version), then it uses the I-TEC ECU with optical dizzy. Then the RG dizzy is useless. (The RG dizzy being the RB-Gemini guts in a GZ-series distributor for an electronic dizzy maybe without the ignitor for vari...

Re: *** GEM CITY WRECKERS BRISBANE*** updated p1 05/11

An any Isuzu RHS petrol starter should fit (Gemini, Rodeo, Jackaroo). I use the 4ZE1 reduction starter motors (for LH starter G-U and G-W engines) but I don't know if that'll fit the Gem, though I think it will. (It won't fit Gems with LH starter DOHC (G-W) engines as it hits the exhaust - unless th...

Re: Value of a Gemini

And for anyone that has an older car (arguably over 5 years old) and has comprehensive insurance that is NOT an agreed-value policy... Let's just say that one day they may learn. I have agreed value. If written off, I get to keep the vehicle. Now, since I've been offered twice its agreed value even ...

Re: WTB Gemini coupe - brisbane area

It is well worthwhile asking the max someone is willing to pay. That's not the same as what that one is willing to pay for the car offered. When people quote something unrealistic (like $1,500 or $3,000 for my GT Belletts or Florians or Wasp) it is simpler to avoid further conversation by stating "n...

Re: WTB: G161 manifold urgent :(

Update: The PAP price is now $30 for manifolds. PAP-C (Campbellfield) had a TG with intake manifold as at Thursday 1May12. (Is TG 1983, hence the 1983 SEDAN BEIGE 1180 CAMPBELLFIELD above?) Incidentally, there were several RB Geminis - grab your electronic distributor guts now. PAP now list $20 for ...
