USA - 1980 Chevy Luv LOW miles 4X4 A/C

With only 27,000 miles on it, this thing is a good reference of what a factory original G180Z looked like (except for some chrome) -

Not really. You don't hardly see 'em anymore & it's not like you'd get all excited if ya saw 1 in traffic.
They aren't overvalued & desired like 67-69 Camaros, Hemis, & Stangs or popular like Honduhs & other winged ricers.
I see it got to big $ & was still not up to the reserve price but I would be surprised if the seller didn't let it go for $6600.
That's probly nearly twice what it cost new.
My thinking is it was valued for being original, unmolested, low-miles, & well-preserved (always garaged).
It's exTREMEly low mileage & rustfree. There was a link to the auction on the Luvtruck forum which didn't hurt.

That's 1 advantage of the net.
You can find small & scattered specialty market customers for selling something that would not be valued by mainstream majority.
There are some who love 'em (like us Gem owners) BUT it's a very small cult.
Alot of guys like the trucks cause a V8 fits in easyas & then when yer Rt foot goes down = :o  .

Here's some pics from Dropzone 2007 that was held recently somewhere out West - N Cali maybe?
These are all slammed in the weeds & bagged rides.
1 of the Luvtruck guys placed well & posted the link. (His was the only Luv there)
I don't get the lowered thing but to each his own. Dialup beware, LOTS of pix -
