Hi, I'm looking to lower my highway rpm either by changing the diff ratio or, as iv'e noticed the petrol 5 speed has the fifth gear at .558 instead of .787 as in the diesel. Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't heard of a .558 5th - it's probably a dyslexic misprint.
The common 5th is .885 with others .782 or (some Piazza) .755.

yea the ratios aint that much different

it is the diff ratio that helps the diesel
