Melbourne, and I was looking between 150 and 250ish might go higher if I can get gearbox with it lol

I suspect that price might be pushing it - afaik even self-serve wreckers charge more (for bare engines).
Keep an eye out at
pick-a-part.com.au/parts_recovery - select Holden then Gemini, else Rodeo & Jackaroo (pre 1985?).
I think the current 77 & 84 Gems (KE1451 & KE2030; Kilsyth) are fairly stripped already.

I doubt that a call will do any good.
Just keep a track of what's there, and jump when a newbie is listed.
