SAFE TRADING GUIDELINES for buyers and sellers

Post by Virtual-R »

The Forum administrators take no responsibility for goods sold, bought or swapped on the forums. This forum is purely for making others aware you have car audio parts that you wish to buy, sell or swap.

Use common sense when purchasing on the forums, contact the seller via pm and ask for their email address so you can keep in contact. Make transactions via bank deposit or PayPal.

If for any reason a sale falls through, you may be able to have a bank deposit reversed by speaking to your bank and explaining the situation. PayPal is more reliable as all payments for goods are insured up to $1000.

SELLERS:

- Do not send items before payment has been made unless you are sending the item via Cash On Delivery through Australia Post.

- Make sure once the payment has been received you contact the buyer and notify them of when the item will be posted.

- Make sure the item is sent ASAP and the buyer is notified once this is done.

BUYERS:

- Make sure you are able to contact the seller via email / phone for any questions about the purchase.

- Asking for sellers phone numbers is a good way to keep in contact over purchases and is more reliable than contacting via email.

- Registered Post is only a few dollars extra and is more secure, as your package is tracked and a signature is required on delivery. You may wish to consider this and ask your seller to send via this method.

- NEVER SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL!

DISPUTES:

If you have tried to contact the person you made the purchase through and had no reply, you may also consider reporting the issues via the original items for sale post, at first it is best to be polite about the matter and not assume anything dodgy is going on. Sometimes it may just be the case of one person forgetting or being too busy to post an item.

If you have not received any kind of contact from the seller within 2 weeks you may wish to start a paypal refund claim, or contact your bank to see if the transaction can be drawn back due to not receiving the goods you paid for.

After 3 weeks if there is still no resolution to your purchase you may wish to leave negative feedback in the BUYER & SELLER FEEDBACK thread.

FEEDBACK:

To help keep track of good and trustworthy sellers, you may wish to add their name to the BUYER & SELLER FEEDBACK thread. Noting that a person you dealt with is trustworthy and reliable helps others recognise good sellers and adds more security to future purchases.

Trader ratings may also be added in the future to each members profile and your feedback will help with the ratings for each member.

FINALLY: Remember HoldenGemini.net and our Administrators take no responsibility for any purchases made on the forums. Use common sense when making purchases, if in doubt either don't purchase, ask the seller to send the item via Cash On Delivery through Australia Post or arrange to pick the item up yourself and pay for it in person.
