Just thought it worth mentioning that the Holden YB Piazza diff is not interchangable with the Gemini diff. TX models used a Borg Warner rear axle but a Salisbury (TD-TG) may have been retrofitted at some time in the cars life. Both the Borg Warner and the Salisbury diff centres are different to the Piazza centre. The Piazza uses a centre of the same type as the ones you find in diesel TE-TG Gemini models but it doesn't have a torque tube type housing. Piazza diff components don't interchange with Borg Warner or Salisbury.

The disc brakes won't bolt directly to a petrol Gemini axle end because the axle housing bolt pattern is different.

You could adapt the brakes to fit but just be aware that it won't bolt straight up and easily as the front disk system does.

An aftermarket adjustable panhard rod fitted on any Commodore can be used. Keep an eye out at your local wreckers for one on a Commodore.

bugger got and suggestion i need 2 make this stop as the piazza motor 12psi gos alot faster then gemini ever did

Just use the front Piazza brakes. Sart by reconditioning the calipers and the master cylinder. If the disks are badly scored you may need to replace them. Don't try machining past the accepted safe limit. The rear Gemini brakes will do the trick providing they are in good order. Have the drums machined and new linings radius ground to match the oversize drums. Rekit the whole hydraulic system and blow all the old fluid out before refitting the rekitted cylinders. Refill with new dot 4 brake fluid and replace it by complete flushing every 24 months.

Now I should also advise you that spare parts are becoming harder to get hold of for Piazza brakes. Pads are no longer being produced and most auto shops won't have listings if they refer only to the current parts books. I have a bearing and seal kit to fit two Piazza front hubs. I may still be able to get brake pads (still checking that) and possibly rotors as well.

cool thanks i need gemini remote bake bottle as well some one has don a bodge job on it
and i just found the car on this site but i just bourt it last week 4 3 grand off some one ells
it was FAT-tx car the photos are the car

The TX type remote brake reservoirs are reasonably easy to get hold of. I think the TE diesel remote reservior is also compatible. You could use any remote reservoir as long as it can be mounted. It doesn't have to be an original. All it needs to do is hold fluid.
