Project car - 90% complete, 79' TE Gemini Sedan, 4 speed. 197772 k's, Body good condition, 155sr13 tires 90% rubber plus 2 dragway mags. Upolstry good condition. Burgandy.
Needs:- Glovebox hinge, chrome doorsill fitted, carburetter overhaul, possible distributor issues, front r/h mudgaurd not fitting correctly, sound system needs replacing, battery.
$2000 ONO. Very negotiable.

Just re dizzy issues, if it's electrical (ie, not worn) and still standard points, I highly recommend the electronic conversion using RB Gemini guts (early RB - not the later models) - aka "the RG dizzy".

Substituting the RB dizzy's upper reluctor rotor and breaker plate with pick-up and ignitor (drilling 2 holes and filing a new cable slot - all in the correct position to physically and reliably fit) and RB's blue ignition coil with its electrical harness (and ditching the old coil and ballast) will give spark that is only exceeded by CDI.
No more points or capacitor wear, and no points maintenance.
And it sparks with well under a 6V supply! Fit any coil you want, but other than E-coils etc, you probably won't find better than "the blue coil".


FYI - it can be DIY. We should have an article here, but OzGemini and others have various articles (but just break the tangs off the ignitor using side cutters and file down - don't "slot" the dizzy unless using other steel ignitors - and don't use heatsink compound (unless it conducts! But it isn't necessary anyhow) - just ensure a good clean mating between ignitor and the dizzy body).
The harness wiring is its male-spade Black-Red to IGN +12V (Gemini Black-Yellow) and (males-spade) black to tacho (if fitted) else anti-theft earthing switch (which should prevent starting and might kill a revving engine, but will overheat the IgCoil if left on with IGN on).
FYI - Don't confuse the RB's Black-Red +12V supply with the Gemini's Black-Red points wire - unless perhaps the respective standard 0.3Br or 0.7R fusible links are in good order and not replaced by wire as if often done. (Upgrading the recalcitrant wire fuse-links (flinks) to modern plastic flinks is another story.)

FYI-2: Dizzies are $35 at Pick A Part (Melbourne) and the blue coil (oil filled) is $10.
Some have been known to remove Gemini upper rotor and points and chuck in the RB parts, hence one dizzy for $35 instead of 2 for $70. The rest of the RB dizzy is totally useless. It maybe worth keeping you original dizzy as a spare - even if using the blue coil without the ballast (which is okay for emergencies and maybe for years, but turn ignition OFF when not running in case the points are in the closed position - hence heating the coil (at twice the rate without the ballast).
Some with existing dizzies have apparently obtained the RB gust yet only paid for the RB's blue coil and its electrical harness ($10). Not that I have seen anyone do that though. (No mirrors at PAP.)
